Terms and Conditions

Please read these guidelines for using the Adenta platform.

Last updated: October 2026

01. Introduction

Welcome to Adenta. By using our website or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

02. Nature of service

Adenta is an online directory where businesses operating in Kenya can publish a free business page. We provide visibility and marketing tools; we do not take part in, process payments for, or guarantee any transaction between a business and its customers. All engagements happen directly between the business and the customer.

03. Accounts

  • To list a business you must create an account with a valid email address and verify it.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately at info@adenta.co.ke if you think someone else has used it.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act for the business you list.
  • One account may manage several listings, for example branches of the same business.

04. Listings

  1. Listing a business is free. A free listing includes a logo, description, contact buttons, location and opening hours. Photos, services, website and social media links and the Pro design are part of the paid Pro and Premium plans.
  2. A new listing gets one month of Pro free when it goes live (or when its owner claims it), once per business WhatsApp number. When the month ends the listing moves to the free level unless Pro is bought. Photos and services above the free amounts are hidden, not deleted, and return if Pro is bought later.
  3. Every new listing, and every change to a live listing, is reviewed by our team before it appears. We aim to review within 24 hours but do not guarantee a time.
  4. We may decline, edit for formatting, hide or remove any listing or change that is inaccurate, misleading, duplicated, unlawful or against these Terms. Where we can, we will tell you why.
  5. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, including prices, services and contact details, and for keeping it up to date.
  6. Adenta is for businesses. We do not accept personal classifieds or individual second-hand item sales.
  7. You can ask us to remove your listing at any time from your account.

05. Your content

  • You must own, or have permission to use, all text, logos and photos you upload.
  • You keep ownership of your content and trademarks. By uploading it you give Adenta a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, resize, crop and promote it on our platform and in our marketing for as long as your listing is published.

06. Prohibited content

  1. Illegal services or goods, prohibited substances, or unlicensed professional practice.
  2. False, deceptive or fraudulent information, or impersonating another business.
  3. Offensive, discriminatory or sexually explicit material.
  4. Malicious code, spam, or attempts to interfere with the website.

We may remove such content and close the account responsible without notice.

07. Optional paid plans and advertising

We offer optional paid website plans (Pro: a one-page website; Premium: a multi-page website) and may offer advertising, such as Featured placement, Bumps, Homepage Spotlight, Category Sponsorship and Extra Packs. The price, length and what is included will be shown before you pay. Advertising starts when payment is confirmed and runs for the period stated. Because placement begins immediately, fees are non-refundable once advertising has started, except where required by law or where we remove your listing in error. If your listing is removed for breaking these Terms, unused advertising is forfeited.

08. Limitation of liability

Adenta is a directory and marketing platform provided "as is". We do not guarantee any particular number of views, enquiries or sales, or that the website will always be available. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for disputes, service failures or financial losses arising from dealings between a business and its customers.

09. For customers

Please note: we review listings, but we cannot verify every claim a business makes. Check a business's credentials and location before making significant payments, and report anything suspicious to us.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and tell account holders by email about significant changes. Continuing to use Adenta after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms: info@adenta.co.ke or our contact page.
